It is proven that patients benefit from receiving individual care in the comfort of their own homes. Increased choice, independence and general health and well being are seen to improve as a result of physical, emotional and psychological needs being met.
Delegation of Tasks and Worker Supervision
At Advantage Healthcare we are aware of the increasing numbers of patients being discharged into the community with higher nursing needs. We recognise the growing need to ensure that individuals receive safe and effective care from the most appropriate care staff.
Under a carefully supervised training and task delegation process, our Continuing Care team implement and manage the complex care needs of these patients, providing bespoke specialised training and on-going supervision to all of our Healthcare Professionals.
The allocation of a lead nurse, responsible for providing on-going supervision and ensuring that delegated task competencies are continually assessed, ensures patient focus outcomes are achieved whilst providing a cost effective solution at all times.
This model ensures the service user benefits from continuity of care by a dedicated team, trained in their specific needs with additional support from a proven team of Continuing Care specialists.
Quality Assurance
Advantage Healthcare is proud of the rigorous internal Quality Assurance Systems that are continually reviewed and monitored. We follow a stringent recruitment procedure to ensure we only supply the highest quality staff compliant with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care.
We require care, support and nursing staff to have relevant qualifications and experience for the service they will be asked to Provide. In some cases candidates will already have achieved qualifications such as NVQ 2 or 3. Further training is also provided where required.
We thoroughly check each candidate’s work history, experience and qualifications to ensure we have a complete understanding of their capabilities and competencies. We also assess their on-going training needs. Regular supervision ensures that staff are continuing to deliver a high standard of service.
