Gemma Mayo puts on her running shoes for Cancer Research UK |
||||
Gemma Mayo has been involved in Race for Life twice before, but this time the race means a lot more to her. Unfortunately earlier this year a member of Gemma’s family passed away due to cancer. “I have never had anyone close to me pass away before so when it happened it was a big shock and a great sadness. I felt I needed to do something in his memory… I decided the Race for Life would be the perfect challenge” commented Gemma. Gemma has received excellent support and has already surpassed her original fundraising target but is still eager to raise as much as she possibly can for this worthy cause.
