Registered Nurses

Advantage Healthcare is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for ongoing work in local NHS hospitals throughout South Wales including Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan, Newport, Abergavennny, Bridgend and Swansea . Various shifts available including days and nights allowing you to chose when to work to fit in with your other commitments. We are looking for dedicated and professional nurses for both General and Acute settings including A&E, Theatre, Neurology which includes Medical and Surgical wards.

Duties will include;

  • Supervision of junior members of staff
  • Assess patients, implement care, provide advice and maintain associated records.
  • Carry out all relevant nursing procedures

To be successful you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills whilst being able to manage difficult situations. You must also a valid NMC pin number and be able to supply clinical references.

Practice Nurse

Advantage Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join their team in the East of Cardiff. Our client is looking for the nurse to work 3 days per week (preferably Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) from 08.30a.m. until 5.30p.m.

The Person Specification for this post is as follows:

ESSENTIAL

  • RN with full and current NMC Registration
  • Satisfactory Enhanced CRB Check
  • Previous General Practice experience, including; Cytology, Childhood immunisation, Travel vaccinations, C.H.D, and Family planning
  • Sound knowledge of GMS contract clinical requirements and recognition of the importance of accurate data/audit
  • Proven IT skills
  • Innovative, positive and proactive individual who understands the importance of the nursing role within General Practice
  • A good communicator with proven organisational skills
  • Ability to organise workload effectively and efficiently
  • Enthusiastic approach and appreciation of the need for personal CPD and to recognise further training needs
  • Prepared to undertake further training as required
  • Capable of managing the HCA and ensuring that all duties are being carried out safely and efficiently
  • Ability to fit into a well established team
  • Ability to accept change
  • Tolerant, calm and compassionate personality
  • Reliable, flexible with good time keeping
  • Prepared to register elsewhere if registered with the practice

DESIRABLE

  • Telephone triage experience

Palliative Care Workers

Advantage Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced palliative care workers for work within the community. You will be responsible for delivering care to terminally ill adults within their own homes. To be successful previous experience of caring for terminally ill patients is an advantage, you will need to be self motivated and be able to work on your own initiative.

Duties will include:

  • Delivery of care according to individualised tailored care plans
  • Adherring to boundaries, policies and procedures within homecare environment
  • Documenting actions taken
  • Ensuring clients are kept comfortable and supported in their home environment

Registered Nurses x 2

We are currently looking to recruit two experienced RGNs. One to work as the Registered Home Manager and the other as the Deputy Manager in a General Nursing Home near Pontypridd in South Wales.

The home is privately owned and the owners are offering a very competitive salary package.

Candidates must have worked with the elderly, preferably in a Nursing home setting and have experience of supervising staff. It would also be advantageous if the Manager held an NVQ 4 in Management.

Paediatric Support Workers

Advantage Healthcare is currently seeking experienced paediatric support workers who feel they have the skills to work with some very special young children with in a variety of areas.

Many of these children have had a tough start to life and experience difficulties with autism, challenging behavior, development delay and epilepsy. You’ll need to have patience and feel passionate about helping to maintain an approachable and fun atmosphere whilst caring for the child. You will need excellent communication skills both written verbal.

We are looking for dedicated people who can deliver a high standard of care in both morning and evening visits and will be willing to provide additional weekend respite care when required. Yous role is to offer restbite to families whilst ensuring the child’s safety is maintain at all times, accessing and intergrating the child into their local community is an important part of your role.

Branch operating hours

The Cardiff branch is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and operates an out of hour on call service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
