Our Leeds office is based in central Leeds. We are currently supplying staff to organisations such as Bupa care homes, St Annes, local NHS and private hospitals and to private and PCT funded Domiciliary care clients. We offer our candidates work in Nursing and Residential Homes, Domiciliary Care (private and PCTs), Occupational Health and local Hospitals.

Domiciliary Carers

Advantage Healthcare is currently looking for skilled Domiciliary Carers to assist our clients in their own homes. Duties will vary dependant on the client but may include personal care duties, assisting with washing, dressing and preparing meals or maybe escorting clients out of their home to do some shopping and socialise.

Drivers with their own transport would be beneficial, but not essential. The hours of work will vary dependant on the client but we do have full and part time work to fit in with your other commitments. To be successful you must have worked in a similar position.

Healthcare Assistants

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, work with regular clients on an ongoing basis in an exciting specialist area! We are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide assistance to automated peritoneal dialysis patients in their own homes. We have full and part time positions available throughout the Leeds area, working in small dedicated teams. Roles offer excellent rates of pay starting from £9.25 with travel expenses available.

The Healthcare Assistant will be required to visit patients once a day and duties may include;

  • Remove used bags and empty drain bags from dialysis machine
  • Check drained dialysis fluid for signs of infection
  • Check readings on dialysis machine
  • Check patient’s blood pressure and weight
  • Complete patient record
  • Set up dialysis machine with new bags and ancillaries
  • Carry out PD catheter exit site check and re-dress as appropriate
  • Review stocks and arrange delivery as appropriate
  • Contact patient’s own PD unit if any problems arise

We are offering comprehensive therapy training for the successful candidates so renal experience is not essential but NVQ Level 2 or above is essential. Due to the nature and location of the work applicants must be car owners with a full UK driving license.
