Advantage Healthcares Doctors Division is pleased to announce that on the 31st December 2009 they signed a contract with Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital.
Nuffield has 31 hospitals, 28 of which have outsourced RMO cover.
Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital has 88 beds on 7 floors including an 8 bed Critical Care Unit and 6 theatres. They deal with a very wide range of in and out patients covering specialties such as Cardiac Surgery, General Surgery, Neuro Surgery Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Gynaecology and General Medicine.
The contract will be to provide 24 hour cover, 365 days a year for 2 RMO posts(a Ward RMO and an Anaesthetics RMO) The division will contract 4 doctors who will rotate in pairs on a fortnightly basis (i.e. pair of Ward RMOs and a pair of Anaes RMOs). The contract will be for 12 months in the first instance.
Doctors are hoping that this will be the start of something much more long-term and although the contract is just for the Leeds site so far, they are hoping it may lead to further work within the group.
